Recent years have seen increases in the number of worthy grassroots projects seeking support. StartFund would like to meet this growing demand. So we’re inviting additional donors and partners to join together “shoulder-to-shoulder” with Fred Matser and select U.S. philanthropists to help lay the foundation for a next-generation StartFund, which can scale globally at low cost and with high effectiveness in coming years.
In 2009, StartFund helped start 64 projects in 23 countries with only $804,712,
an average grant of about $12,500.
In year one of its expanded operations, StartFund aims to help start
at least 120 projects worldwide.
